EWRI at ASCE2027
Why EWRI?

Environmental & Water Resources Institute

Join us at ASCE2027 as the Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) of ASCE brings the 2027 EWRI Congress to Philadelphia to continue its tradition of networking opportunities and inspiring and innovative discussions. EWRI’s content showcases the wide scope of environmental and water resources engineering issues, from core areas like hydrology, groundwater, stormwater, and water systems to emerging environmental challenges, and modern technologies such as AI, cybersecurity, and advanced data analytics. They address pressing environmental challenges including extreme weather, environmental hazards, and contaminants, while assuring that engineered and natural systems work in harmony.

The collection of topics also reflects essential societal considerations: public health, ethics, economic impacts, community outcomes, and policy—alongside practical concerns like codes and standards, environmental assessments, waste management, and system operations. Together, they underscore the integration of technology, environment, and public welfare in shaping resilient and sustainable infrastructure. ASCE2027 offers an immersive exploration of environmental and water resources topics while also expanding into cross‑cutting and interdisciplinary areas delivering a comprehensive, forward‑looking infrastructure and engineering experience!
